Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 5, 2026 · aWord is operated by Altar Production LLC, Detroit, Michigan.

aWord exists to serve churches, and that begins with respecting what you entrust to us. This policy explains, in plain language, what we collect, why, and what we will never do.

What we collect

How we use it

For one purpose: producing your sermon package. Your content is processed by our production pipeline and returned to you. We use account information to run your account and contact you about your productions.

What we will never do

Service providers

We rely on a small set of processors to operate aWord: Clerk (authentication), Stripe (payments — we never see or store card numbers), and transcription/processing services that handle your media solely on our instructions. Each is bound to use your data only to provide their service to us.

Storage and retention

Your files are stored on our production servers while your package is being produced and made available for download. You may request deletion of any upload or produced asset at any time, and we will remove it promptly.

Security

All uploads and downloads travel over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS). Access to production systems is restricted to Altar Production personnel who need it to operate the service.

Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information and content at any time by writing to us. We honor these requests regardless of where your church is located.

Children

aWord accounts are intended for adults acting on behalf of a church or ministry. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes and contact

If this policy changes, we will update this page and its date. Questions or requests: support@altarproduction.com.

aWord is currently in private pilot. As the product matures, this policy will grow with it — but the promises above are permanent.
